Mother's Day Plus...

We have been a little more busy than usual so far this year. Mother's Day was a lot of fun, we always have a family bar-b-que with the kids and grandkids at our place.

The following Tuesday four of the five grandkids were back at our home again for seven days. They were excused from school and Trina flew down to Florida to meet up with Brian while he was fishing in the Keys. It is an annual event for Brian, his brother and step-father. They have some nice fish to show as usual. Trina was really excited as she caught her first shark....all be it only 2 1/2 feet, small compared to the guys' catch.

(All the while and until today I have been on the sofa as my back went out the day they arrived. I foolishly thought I would quick work out a little without warming up and I paid a heavy price! Never again!!) While the kids were here we worked on a social studies project that took over 14 hours to complete with Stevie, found a surefire way for Matthew to remember his spelling words...he can now see them in his mind, he was so excited and Johnnys 'band-aid' from his surgery fell off just as the doctor predicted. I had no idea how he had been looking forward to that. (He had to have 26 stitches inside his nose when he fell in the park during a school trip to the zoo several weeks ago. It also broke his nose in two places...there was a metal pipe in the concrete sticking up and he fell into it) Trina almost missed her trip.

Our oldest grandson is going for his drivers test next week. He is a little nervous...so are we. It doesn't seem like he should be old enough already.

Karen is still in California, she has been able to visit with Mother a couple of times but is very busy with her aunt and will probably be there a few more weeks. She really misses her family alot.

I added a couple of pictures from the fishing trip and hope I get to add more writings sooner next time.

Mother's Day in Nashville 2007

As has been our tradition for Patty, Ora Kay, Inez and me, we went back to Gaylord Springs Gold Club for their holiday brunch. It is always good. Rather than a lot of narration here are some pictures.
