April from Florida

4/24/07 - Hello everyone...a quick note from Brenda Stubblefield Osborne. Curtis has put together a terrific site for all of us to keep in touch - THANK YOU.

April in Florida has been a roller-coaster of weather. From below freezing at Easter to low 80's this week. Mark and I have been doing our annual fix-the-yard chores. Our twins, Matthew & Christopher, are looking forward to summer vacation - about a month away. Hopefully 'hurricane season' won't be too exciting this year, but some good rains would be very welcome.

Thanks

Hi,

It was nice to hear from you. Thank you for starting this blog and sending the email to let me know about it. I've enjoyed checking out the pictures and reading the posts. It will be a nice way to keep in touch with our family.

For us, Easter was pretty quiet at our house. Charley was sick so after Mass we stayed home, tried to get some rest, and relaxed while we watched some of the different Easter specials on TV.

MY EYES

There was a blind girl who hated herself just because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry her boyfriend. One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and then she could see everything, including her boyfriend. Her boyfriend asked her,"Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?" The girl was shocked when she saw that her boyfriend was blind too, and refused to marry him. Her boyfriend walked away in tears, and later wrote a letter to her saying, "Just take care of my eyes dear." (He had donated his eyes to her.) This is how the human brain changes when our status changes. Only few remember what life was before, and who's always been there even in the most painful situations. " Life Is A Gift " Today before you say an unkind word, Think of someone who can't speak. Before you complain about the taste of your food, Think of someone who has nothing to eat. Before you complain about your husband or wife, Think of someone who's crying out for a companion. Today before you complain about life, Think of someone who went too early to heaven. Before you complain about your children, Think of someone who desires children but they're barren. Before you complain about cleaning your house, Think of the people who are living in the streets. Before whining about the distance you drive, Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet. And when you are tired and complain about your job, Think of the unemployed, and those who wish they had your job. And before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another, Remember that not one of us are without sin and we all answer to one maker. And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down, Put a smile on your face and thank God you're alive and well. Life is a gift, Live it, Enjoy it, Celebrate it, And Fulfill it.

Hope you enjoy it. This was sent to Curtis Stubblefield by Alice Miller, a co-worker at Windsor Medicare Extra.

Wisconsin Easter 2007

Hi,

Thank you Curtis for taking the time to set this blog up. I hope everyone takes a little time and adds to it. You did a nice job.

Our Easter tradition is to have an Easter brunch at our home. Its gets a little hectic but is always eventful. After brunch, we have an egg hunt that lasts for about an hour. It has become more challenging each year to find more inventive ways to hide the eggs from the older children. To our surprise this year, the two younger ones wanted their hunt to be with the older ones...we were not prepared.

I had problems with my camera, so I thought, and my pictures are very few. It has turned our that the problem is actually with the recharging dock. I will try later to be able to upload one or two of my four.

I hope everyone had a very blessed Easter. Sharon

Easter 2007

As has been our tradition for the past eight years. We have gone to brunch on Easter, Mother's Day and Father's Day. Today we again were at Gaylord Springs (Springhouse) Golf Club for what is always a very good day. In the picture above is L-R, Patty Thedford, Curtis Stubblefield, Al Griner (guest of Patty), Ora Kay Thedford and Inez Stubblefield. The picture below is the club house at Gaylord Springs.

It has bee a great tradition since Ora Kay and Patty were in Nashville and since Inez and I moved to Nashville in 1998. Over the years we have been fortunate to have Aunt Mary with us for several years after she came to Nashville. We have had Leena Gray, Inez's niece and her children with us on a Father's day a few years ago. It is always a great time to break bread with family.

Curt & Inez

Hi to all of you. Inez and I are living in the Southeast part of Nashville and have been here since 1998. We have loved being here and have grown up with the most recent boom Nashville has encountered. Our first year here was when the Nashville Predators hockey team expanded to Nashville. Then, we got the Nashville Kats Arena League Football team and of course the Tennessee Titans. Then the city really took off with a lot of growth and expansion. Areas of town that were not too developed when we were looking to buy a house are now fully developed subdivisions. Mark and Brenda came by for a few hours on a trip for a northern vacation. I hope all of you have a chance to add some pictures and information about your family.

Welcome Cousins

Hello to all the Cousins. Because of a comment from Sharon, I have started this blog site for all of us to use. I will send you user login and password to allow all of you to add posts to this site, or if you have something to post, you can e-mail me your text and pictures and I will post it for you. Just something I thought where we could have a common point to keep up with each other.
